The Colony Club of Ocean City participated in Wreaths Across America Day to honor the service of veterans in Cape May County.

CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — The Colony Club of Ocean City participated in a national effort to honor the service of veterans by placing wreaths on graves at the Gerald M. Thornton Veterans’ Cemetery in Cape May County.
Each December, communities across the country come together to commemorate the national Wreaths Across America Day and host wreath-laying ceremonies for deceased veterans at more than 2,100 locations.
Seventeen Colony Club of Ocean City members along with 15 family members and friends attended this year’s wreath ceremonies on Dec. 19 , which included an invocation by military personnel and a verbal recognition by name of each honored veteran.
