The Lake Family Historical Association invites the public to a number of Oct. 15 events at different locations marking a reunion of the founding family of Ocean City.
The schedule is as follows:
9:30-10:30 AM: Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Park Ave. & South Main St., Pleasantville- gravesite of Ocean City’s founding fathers. Harry Lake will greet family members at the Lake Family plot in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

11:00-11:45 AM: Memorial Ceremony, Ocean City Tabernacle, 5th Street, Ocean City, NJ. We will gather at The Tabernacle in a special ceremony to honor family members who passed away this year, The service will be led by Dr. Janice Lake Betts. Memorial roses will be placed at The Lake Family Tree in the Ocean City Tabernacle along with the Memorial Flowers for the Sunday Morning services.
12:00-2:00 PM: Ocean City Historical Museum at 18th Street, Ocean City. Visit the newly renovated museum in Ocean City and learn more about the history of the Lake Family through the many family artifacts on display.

2:00-3:00 PM: St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 501 East Eighth St, Ocean City, NJ. Browse through craft items and family memorabilia at the dining room in The Station House. Visit family craft table and enjoy a light snack as you catch up with family and friends. Make sure you sign a Family Tree chart during this time so we can continue updating our records.
3:00-4:00 PM: Annual Business Meeting Lake Family Historical Association- Annual Business Meeting and Election of Officers.
4:00-6:00 PM: Land & Sea Buffet at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church followed by a presentation by Fred Miller, Past-President of the Ocean City Historical Museum, Historian and Author of Ocean City, America’s Greatest Family Resort.
