Dr. William Li will make a presentation 11 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 27) on new ways to prevent and treat cancer that may avoid the severe side effects often seen today. Anti-angiogenesis prevents the growth of blood vessels that feed tumors. Also, the first and best step---eating cancer-fighting foods that cut off supply lines and beat cancer at its own game.
TED is an international non-profit devoted to bringing people together from different disciplines---interesting ideas presented by interesting people. Ocean City library presents these talks in its new conference room to provide a forum to hear and discuss ideas.
Every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 11 AM a local moderator will introduce and show a TED video that lasts about 20 minutes. After the video, the moderator will lead a discussion until noon, when those who want to continue the discussion can take it to lunch with them.
