Kaitlyn Schoeffel a Double-Winner in Pageant Preliminaries

After winning , Kaitlyn Schoeffel of Egg Harbor Township earned another preliminary victory in Friday night's evening wear category in the Miss New Jersey Pageant at the .

Schoeffel (Miss Avalon) shared the victory in a tie with Carissa Palumbo of Wayne, Miss Tri-County.

Friday night's other winners were:

• Anna Negron of Vineland (Miss Coastal Shore) in swimsuit.
• Cierra Kaler-Jones of Galloway Township (Miss Northern Lakes) in talent. Kaler-Jones danced to the song "Listen."

The three-day pageant ends on Saturday night with final competition and the crowning of the new Miss New Jersey. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on the Music Pier.
