National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory for Tuesday

A National Weather Service in effect between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday calls for sustained northwest winds of 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

It's drizzling on Tuesday morning in the first phase of a mixed forecast that calls for sun later in the day and a 20 percent chance of snow showers after 4 p.m. as it clouds up again.

None of that wind will do much for the surf. Our winter woes continue.

Winter reminds us today that there's plenty of room between now and summer—112 days to be exact (if we're counting Memorial Day as the start).

Surf: Blustery offshore winds are exactly what we don't need. It's already pretty much flat, and the northwest winds will only bring more of the same. Surfers Supplies sees some chance for a little bump later in the week.

Boardwalk: Just when we celebrate how nice Ocean City is when the winter winds die down: Wham! Monday's relative calm is turning into cold 30 to 50 mph winds. That's going to make your Boardwalk or beach run fairly miserable. So get on it early. It's not too bad yet on Tuesday morning.

Homes: Sounds like the wind gusts could turn your backyard clutter into projectiles. So make sure everything that's relatively light is battened down.
