Two Men Arrested in Alleged Sexual Assault in Ocean City

What started started as an encounter on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Sunday night ended in an alleged sexual assault at a vacation rental home on the 2900 block of West Avenue.

Two Pennsylvania men have been charged with aggravated sexual assault, according to Ocean City Police Capt. Steven Ang.

A 15-year-old girl reported to police that she met the two men on the Boardwalk. They were believed to be staying in Ocean City for the week, according to police reports. The girl agreed to go back to their rental unit, where the alleged sexual assault occurred, Ang said.

The girl went alone to the residence, and no charge has been filed related to providing alcohol to a minor, according to Ang.

The victim left the residence after the alleged assault and reported the incident to a family member a short time later. Police received the call at 1:25 a.m. Monday, June 11.             

The investigating officers were able to locate the two suspects still at the address where the alleged assault occurred, Ang said. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident soon after the report to police.

The suspects were charged on an arrest warrant issued by Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten. Both suspects are being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $300,000 cash bail. The investigation is being conducted by Det. Mark Pancoast, Det. Anthony Fearnhead and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office.

Koshion Thomas, 18, of Bristol, Pa., is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Joshua M. Jenkins, 23, of Bristol, Pa., is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault/physical force.

The suspects are not related, according to Ang.
