Where/When: Open daily at 908 Shore Rd., Somers Point
Why Go: If you haven't tried the old Mac's Restaurant in a while, you need to know that the landmark has officially left the time warp. It's the first stop over the bridge on Shore Road and it has a new name, new decor, new menu and a new feel. Catch the Melanie Rice Quartet 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, as part of the Somers Point Jazz Society's winter series.
Pricing: Typical entrees are in the $20 to $30 range.

3. THE PLATTERS
Where/When: 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13 at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, 212 Bayberry Dr., Cape May Court House
Why Go: Why not a little doo wop on a winter afternoon?
Pricing: $25 in advance, $30 at the door
Â
Where/When: 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday at The Pool at Harrah's in Atlantic City
Why Go: Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino of Jersey Shore fame hosts a party with an array of entertainers. If you haven't seen the spectacle of vanity and excess that is "The Pool," the venue will be in rare form on Friday.
Pricing: Online tickets are no longer available. Check the box office for price and availability.
Â
5. AN EVENING OF ROMANCE AND RENEWAL
Where/When: 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 14 at Absecon Lighthouse, Pacific and Rhode Island avenues, Atlantic City
Why Go: OK, if you're really bored on Valentine's Day, why not climb a lighthouse, nibble aphrodisiacs along the way, make out at the top and then get remarried (to the same person). We wouldn't make this up—that's the Feb. 14 promotion being planned at the lighthouse, complete with minister on hand.
Pricing: $125 per couple
