Caribbean Themed Restaurant Brings Bahamian Breeze to Paramus
Bahama Breeze Island Grille held its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday afternoon
Open for three weeks already and Bahama Breeze Island Grille of Paramus has continued to make a name for itself. The Caribbean-inspired restaurant held its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday afternoon while also presenting a $2,000 check to the Hawthorne Boys & Girls Club.
Overall the restaurant chain has donated $12,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania by six Northeast Bahama Breeze locations, including Paramus, in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
The restaurant officially opened on Nov. 19 at the Bergen Town Center is the fourth location by Darden Restaurants in New Jersey; additional Bahama Breeze restaurants were constructed in Wayne, Woodbridge and Cherry Hill. The restaurant has estimated it has brougth 150 new jobs to the area.

"Business has been great, we have full dining rooms on the weekends and we're doing a god job," John Brown, general manager of the Paramus location said. "We have a little bit of everything for everybody from seafood to chicken and steaks all with a little flair of the Caribbean."
The restaurant also boasts handcrafted tropical drinks including mojitos, margaritas, martinis and tropical cocktails to cater to a more adult crowd. Their extensive bar menu also features a diverse beer list that includes Aruba Red, a microbrew made especially for Bahama Breeze.

"We feel that is key as well," Brown said of the restaurants regular and late-night happy hours. "It brings a different crowd in throughout the day."
The 8,500 square foot restaurant and bar offers lunch and dinner hours with space for over 300 guests and can accomodate small or large groups. Diners can choose to eat indoors or enjoy the warmer weather on the outdoor deck.
Bahama Breeze Island Grille is located at 1600 Bergen Town Center, Paramus and is open seven days a week from 11am to 12am. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6pm on Monday through Friday and again from 10pm to close on Sunday through Thursday. The restaurant can be reached by calling 201-368-5860.
