Bergen County Native Named Ford Motor Co. CEO

Mark Field, originally from Paramus, will take over the auto company July 1.

A Paramus native will be heading up the second largest car manufacturer in the US.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, Mark Field will take over as the CEO of the Ford Motor Company starting July 1. He will replace retiring CEO Alan Mullaly, the report said.

Fields, 53, has been working with Ford in various capacities for 25 years, the report said. He is currently serving as its Chief Operating Officer, it said.

According to the Washington Post, Field has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers and a Master’s Degree from Harvard Business School.

Field will have big shoes to fill, reports say, as Mullaly has led Ford to $42.3 billion in profits over the last five years.
