Delayed Opening for Paramus Schools Tuesday
Three to five inches expected to fall overnight according to the National Weather Service.

Paramus public schools will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday as a winter storm moving through the area could bring anywhere from 3 to 5 inches of snow to the area.
Updated forecast according to National Weather Service predicts snow will change to sleet and freezing rain after midnight turning into rain Tuesday morning which could last into the afternoon.
The weather service advises caution during the Tuesday morning rush hour as a light accumulation of ice expected overnight on top of a light accumulation of snow can make driving hazardous.

Updated forecast is as follows:
- Overnight - Snow before 1am, then rain, snow, and sleet. Low around 30. East wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
- Tuesday - Rain and sleet before 1pm, then a chance of rain. High near 45. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
- Tuesday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
