Dine Out with Chakra for Thanksgiving
Don't feel up to cooking a large spread this year? Then let Chef Thomas Ciszak do it for you

Cooking for the holidays can be stressful and exhausting as Thanksgiving alone can be an all-day affair spent in the kitchen. So this year, Chakra on Rt. 4, is offering to do all the work for you with a three-course modern American menu. Chef Thomas Ciszak will be whipping up a wide variety of culinary delights on Nov. 22, 1 to 6:30pm for those families that would prefer to pass on cooking.
Start off your evening with one of six appetizers from the house smoked salmon, butternut squash soup, Ciszak's horseradish-crusted crabcake, Caesar salad, mesclun greens or a roasted red beet salad.
The star of the second round will be a Brandy-Maple Brined Turkey from Bergen County's own Goffle Road Poultry Farm, served with cornbread stuffing, chestnuts, yams, roasted squash and cranberry sauce.

Finish off the night with a housemade pumpkin pie with marcona almond chantilly; apple fritters with quince puree and pistachio ice cream; a cocnut tapioca with passion fruit sorbet and cilantro; or warm chocolate brioche bread pudding topped off with macerated raspberries and vanilla ice cream.
