First-Ever Paramus Triathlon Sunday

The sold-out event, organized by Maven Sports Medicine, is a benefit for the Paramus Education Foundation.

Local athletes are taking part in the first-ever Paramus triathlon event this Sunday.

The three sport event includes swimming, biking and running which all take place at the Paramus Municipal Pool and West Brook Middle School. For the full course information visit the Paramus Triathlon website.

Maven Sports Medicine of Paramus has organized this event which is a benefit for the Paramus Education Foundation which works to provide educational needs to Paramus students.

Organizers announced this week the event is completely sold out. For a full list of registrants click here.

The event has received support from the community including borough heads and the health department and Mayor Richard LaBarbiera.

Paramus has been promoting a community-wide campaign towards health and wellness. Recently a group of community members lost a total of 500 pounds in a weight-loss challenge and the borough was recently named a New Jersey Healthy Town.
