Frisch School Teens Collect Bears for Children in Israel
Students collected more than 300 bears towards the Bears From Bergenfield Operation Teddy Bear cause.

Paramus' Frisch School students recently collected 300 stuffed toys for the Bears from Bergenfield Operation Teddy Bear, which collects and ships the bears to young children in Israel who are in need of something to hug.
The teens collected more than 300 toys in less than two weeks, says Claire Goldstein who started Operation Teddy Bear efforts. She says the students were inspired by the Operation Teddy Bear story and set out to make a difference.
The bears are distributed to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba and other locations such as One Family Fund, an organization that deals with victims of terror and Migdal Haemek which helps 10,000 children and teens adjust to social pressures and living in Israel as new immigrants.

Claire says the operation began about 10 years ago when her son thought up the idea realizing that there are children out there in need with nothing to hug so they set out to collect bears and have since sent 140,000 overseas.
