Hackensack Juvenile Charged With Attempted Murder
The juvenile was arrested on multiple charges that stem from two separate incidents.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A Hackensack juvenile accused of shooting a man at a Bergen County convenience store was arrested on multiple charges, according to a news release from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
The juvenile was charged with attempted murder, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of hollow nose ammunition. He is now being held at the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center, the prosecutor's office said.
The charges stem from two incidents, one of which occurred on May 29, when a 33-year-old man was shot outside Deli Mart Liquor on Main Street in Hackensack, and the other on June 5, when an armed robbery was reported in the area of Fairmount Avenue and Allen Street, the prosecutor's office added.

An investigation by the Hackensack Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office revealed that the same juvenile shot the victim on May 29 and committed the robbery on June 5, the news release said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released several days later, the news release added.
