How Much Snow Is Expected?

A wintry mix of snow and ice have been coming down through the area Tuesday but a minimimal accumulation is expected, according to National Weather Service.

The weather service says snow will continue to fall this afternoon with about a half-inch of snow accumulation expected. Snow is expected to continue Tuesday night where another half-inch of snow is likely.

The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday is:

Tuesday afternoon - Snow. High near 39. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 

Tuesday night - Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 7 mph.
