Lack of Quorum Postpones Council Meeting
The governing body will now hold its final 2012 meeting on Dec. 26

Missing four councilmen due to illness, vacation and work responsibilities, the Paramus Council was forced to postpone its final meeting of 2012 until after Christmas.
According to Mayor Richard LaBarbiera, Council President Michael Rohdieck had intended to attend Tuesday's meeting, which would have been his final appearance on the council, was called away out of state last minute for work.
"We knew Councilman Eric Nazziola and Councilman Joseph Lagana were going to be unavailable tonight," LaBarbiera said. "And Councilman Ralph Amato is sick."

The council's agenda, which did not include a set of policies outling new police promotion procedures, called for the approval of an emergency appropriation of funds relating to Superstorm Sandy, salary increases for eight police officers and the appointment of borough towing companies.
Each of the agenda items will now be taken up during a special meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 6pm at Borough Hall.
