Here's a sneak peek of what's coming up in Paramus this week

MONDAY: The Paramus Public Library will screen the newly-released DVD "Anna Karenina" at 1pm. The film stars Keira Knightley and Jude Law and is based on Leo Tolstoy's novel.
TUESDAY: Paramus High School will present a discussion and Q&A on prescription drug abuse entitled "How Safe is your Medicine Cabinet?" at 7 pm. The discussion will be moderated by Asseblywoman Connie Wagner and include Paramus Police Detective Sgt. John Devine, PHS Student Assistance Counselor Joseph Traina, Judy Forman, Bergen County Municipal Alliance Coordinator and the Spring House, a Halfway House for Women.
WEDNESDAY: The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering an introductory course for beginning paddlers at the Paramus Community School, 145 Spring Valley Road. THURSDAY: The Zoning Board of Adjustment will continue hearing testimony for the Paramus Road Muslim Cultural Center application. The hearing will pick up where it left off in November when Zoning Board members heard testimony from the center's engineer, architect and traffic engineer on the building's design, use and parking layout. Parking has been the largest concern as 61 spaces are proposed as opposed to 69 which would be required by borough code.
FRIDAY: The Paramus Public Library midday book group will discuss "The Visibles" by Sara Shepard at 1pm. Shepard, most known for her series "Pretty Little Liars" and "The Lying Game" explores a family's biological and emotional interconnectedness-for better or for worse in her first adult novel.
