New East Brook VP, Assistant Superintendent Named

Paramus Board of Education has appointed Sean Adams the new assistant superintendent of administration, curriculum and instruction, and Ryan Aupperlee is the new vice principal at East Brook.

Two Paramus public school educators have been appointed to administrative positions in the district, the Board of Education announced Thursday.

Sean Adams, a teacher and administrator in the school system, has been named the new Assistant Superintendent of Administration, Curriculum and Instruction.

Ryan Aupperlee, a high school language arts teacher, has been named the new vice principal at East Brook Middle School.

Adams will replace Dr. Joseph Lupo who retires as of Oct. 1.

Adams taught in the Paramus High School language arts department for nine years. He has served in the role as Supervisor of Secondary Education in the district since 2010.  In his new role, Adams will primarily oversee the academic aspects of the district and address a wide range of administrative duties.

Aupperlee has been with the district since 2006. He currently teaches in the language arts department at the high school. Recently he served as vice principal of the Paramus Summer School and completed his administrative internship with Lupo.  

Auppelee replaces Thomas LoBue who served as vice principal of East Brook Middle School before being named principal this August.
