Paramus' Chakra Restaurant Hosts Benefit for Sandy Relief
Proceeds from the Nov. 12 dinner event will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey which has been helping those affected by the devastation.

Paramus' Chakra Restaurant has put together a special dinner event Monday, Nov. 12 to benefit those effected by Hurricane Sandy.
The special wine dinner is set for 6:30 p.m Monday, Nov 12 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, which has been working to respond to the needs of the many local residents affected by the devastation
“Thankfully, except for a power outage, Chakra was not damaged in the hurricane. We want to give back to our community and give others an opportunity to contribute and help as well,” said the restaurants’ general manager and beverage director Evelyn Ciszak, who conceived the dinner with Chakra’s chef/partner Thomas Ciszak.

The dinner will start at 6:30pm with a wine and passed hors d’oeuvres reception followed by a four course dinner with Justin winery wines that Evelyn paired with Chef Thomas Ciszak’s menu of Diver Scallops with roasted pumpkin, apple and bacon powder; Glazed Duck with yams, brussels sprouts and cranberry jus; Braised Short Ribs with roasted beets, celery and horseradish and a cheese course finale.
For each $79 ticket (plus tax & gratuity) $25 will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey by Chakra restaurant.
