The German Club students from Paramus High School as well as East Brook and West Brook middle schools recently took their annual trip to the Black Forest Inn Restaurant in Stanhope, NJ.
The students were able to sample a variety of German specialties such as Sauerbraten, Maultaschen, Spätzle, Apfelstrudel and many more.
The food, cooked by Heinz Aichem, owner and head chef of the restaurant, was outstanding as usual and there was a great deal of “klatschen auf Deutsch”—chatting in German, which all added up to an enjoyable and relaxing Sunday afternoon.
