Paramus High School Presents 'Down In Front' This Weekend

Paramus High School theater group presents its fall production Friday and Saturday.

The Paramus High School theater group presents its fall production this weekend of “Down in Front” a funny mysterious farce put on by the school’s creative production team and student cast.

The community has three chances to see the play – Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. and two shows on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The show is about an opening night at the Harlequin theater, only the action is not on a stage, it’s all off stage in the lobby as a cast of zany characters which includes the nervous playwright, his fiancé, two gossipy patrons, several panicking ushers, a thief and a soon-to-arrive fire marshall for a “surprise” inspection. The mystery develops when it is discovered that someone is sabotaging the theater before the Fire Marshall arrives.

The creative team is led once again by Directors Joe Ferriero and Michele Sarnoski. Sarnoski, who also serves as the show’s producer, has produced a number of productions at the high school. She also is a teacher of English at the high school. Ferriero has directed a number of productions for the middle schools and high schools as well as community theater.
