Paramus will now be offering a discount to all veterans who reside in the borough.
Mayor Richard LaBarbiera said Tuesday the governing body has decided to extend the discount offered to its volunteers for the municipal pool, golf course and recreation facilities to those who can show veteran status and their families.
A disabled veteran had brought this to their attention recently and in less than one months time the council has taken action to offer this to these members of the community, he said.
