Bronx Man Caught with Burglary Tools at Car Dealership, Cops Say
Bronx man was charged with criminal trespass when two officers discovered him at the closed Honda dealership lot after hours.

A Bronx man was charged with trespassing this weekend when officers discovered him at a Honda dealership after hours, police said Monday.
According to Police Captain Robert Guidetti, Officers Jeffrey Lattanzi and Matt Parello spotted Angel Lopez, 34, inside the fenced-in parking lot area of the Route 4 dealership just shortly before midnight on Saturday.
Lopez told the officers he was a security officer waiting for his partner who had accidentally activated the burglar alarm, Guidetti said.
Police saw a white van, parked on the highway near the dealership, with the vehicle's license plate covered by a "dirty rag," Guidetti said. A number of burglary tools were found inside, he said.

Police also discovered milk crates in the van which matched ones that were placed along side a vehicle in the dealership lot. Guidetti said the crates were also considered burglary tools.
Milk crates are often used to help thieves prop up cars in an attempt to steal rims and tires.

After further investigation, police discovered Lopez had scaled the fence to get inside the dealership lot, according to the captain.
Lopez was charged with criminal trespass and possession of burglary tools, police said.
