Paramus Hosts Safe Schools Forum This Week
Taking a look at what's to come on Patch this week

This Wednesday night parents are invited to attend a forum on the topic of school safety and security hosted by the New Jersey School Boards Association at Paramus High School.
Paramus Police Deputy Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg will serve on a panel made up of other local law enforcement officials and educators. They will discuss approaches taht districts are taking to improve school safety. Participants will have an opportuntiy to ask the panelists questions.
The NJSBA says the tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., has led local education officials and law enforcement to reassess school security measures and parents also need to play a crucial role in the discussion.

Also this week, efforts towards Relay for Life continue as the team captains meeting is set for this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.
The first-ever townwide Relay For Life event is set for Friday, June 15 into Saturday, June 16. The overnight event is a signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society designed to show that cancer never sleeps.

Paramus Catholic High School begins its Easter Recess on Thursday, March 28 and all Paramus schools will be closed Friday, March 29 for Good Friday.
