Cops Seek Woman They Say Robbed Paramus Abercrombie & Fitch Store

The woman brandished a large butcher knife, stole $900 from the cash register, and fled the Garden State Plaza, police said.

PARAMUS, NJ — Police are looking for a woman they said robbed the Abercrombie & Fitch Kids store at the Garden State Plaza at knifepoint.

The robbery occurred Thursday, May 16 at about 5:49 p.m., police said.

The woman entered the store, brandished a large butcher knife, and approached an employee, police said. She demanded that the employee ring up a shirt in order to access the cash register, police said.

The woman took $900 from the register and left the store, police said.

Mall security cameras caught the woman taking off a gray sweatshirt and baseball cap as she left the mall, authorities said. She boarded a jitney bus at the plaza's bus stop, police said.

Video surveillance from inside the bus shows a large tattoo on the upper part of the woman's left arm. She got off the bus on Broadway in Paterson between Lake and Carroll Streets, police said.

The woman is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall, with a thin build, and blue eyes, police said. She wore a gray Abercrombie & Fitch hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, a black short-sleeved Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirt, and jeans.
