Suspect 'Intentionally Struck' Englewood Police Car In Pursuit: Police

An auto theft suspect caused an Englewood police officer to crash during a pursuit, police said.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — An auto theft suspect "intentionally struck" an Englewood police car in a police pursuit early Thursday, causing the officer to crash, the Englewood Police Department said in a news release Thursday.

The officer, who was not identified, was not seriously injured, police said.

The crash took place as police responded to a report of a car theft in a residential neighborhood, police said.
