Turkey Bowls, Black Friday and Craft Show Coming This Week

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming up in Paramus this week

MONDAY: The Board of Education has a 7:30pm meeting at the Board Conference Room, 145 Spring Valley Road.

TUESDAY: The Mayor and Council meets at 7pm for a work session in the lower level Conference Room and at 7:45pm in Council Chambers for a public session.

WEDNESDAY: The Paramus Public Library will be presenting an art show by local artist Jack McKenzie. His preferred genre is landscape-style painting and his subjects are lighthouses, covered bridges, fishing village scenes & barns. He has painted scenes from Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Maine, Nova Scotia. Lancaster and NY's Central Park with a pallet that is very colorful and bright.

THURSDAY: Both Paramus and Paramus Catholic will compete in their annual Turkey Bowls this morning. The Spartans face Ridgewood at the high school while the Paladins host Bergen Catholic. Both games begin at 10:30am.

FRIDAY: For Black Friday all major stores and malls will be open from 7am to 11pm.

THE WEEKEND: The annual Thanksgiving Craft Show, sponsored by the Paramus High School Project Graduation committee wil return to PHS on Sunday, Nov. 25, 10am to 5pm. The event will feature 100 quality crafters and artists with everything from pottery and jewelry, to childrens items and furniture, seasonal items and apparel, folkart and photography and soft sculptures and florals.
