82-Year-Old NJ Sisters Found; Silver Alert Canceled
Police said the women left their North Jersey home in a car Monday morning, and announced they had been located on Tuesday afternoon.
RIVER EDGE, NJ — Police said they have located two 82-year-old sisters who were reported missing from their Bergen County home on Monday.
State police had issued a Silver Alert asking for the public's help finding the twin River Edge residents, and said both had a form of dementia.
The borough police union said the women left their home in a car Monday morning, and announced they had been located on Tuesday afternoon. Officials did not say where the women were located, or provide further details.

In New Jersey, Silver Alerts are used to broadcast information about missing people — not always senior citizens — if the person is cognitively impaired, operating a motor vehicle, and believed to be in danger of death or injury.
