Earlier this month, Valley Health System held a groundbreaking ceremony of a $800 million hospital in Paramus that will replace its existing facility in Ridgewood. Construction is expected to be complete by 2023, officials have said.

The seven-story, 372-bed facility will be located on Winters Avenue, just across the street from the existing Robert & Audrey Luckow Pavilion -Valley's same-day surgery and cancer care center

The new 910,000 square-foot facility will include single-patient beds, as well as a five-story parking garage, and dedicated drop-off and entrance areas to help ease further traffic congestion on Winters Avenue. Additionally, the traffic signal on Winters Avenue will be replaced and left turn lanes will be added.
