Study Inspires Paramus to Improve Website

Paramus' municipal website got a favorable ranking in a recent study, but officials want to work to utilize it even more.

Compared to other municipalities in the county and also statewide, Paramus' website is considered among the better ones as per a recent study, however officials are now inspired to make the site even better.

Monmouth University's Polling Institute ranked Paramus' site at 49 out of 540 municipal sites in the state, which puts the borough's in the top 10 percent and among the top 10 sites in the county.

The best municipal site in Bergen went to Franklin Lakes which was ranked number two in the entire state.

Although the borough's site was considered among the better ones in the state, Mayor Richard LaBarbiera said the borough should make sure to fully utilize it, keeping up with posting agendas, links and info and contacts for elected officials.

"We have to do a better job with what we have," said LaBarbiera.
