• Governor-elect Sherrill names leaders for newly created military, veterans departments (wrnjradio.com) — Paramus residents should note that the state veterans home in town is part of a broader overhaul as Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill names leaders for New Jersey’s new Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs departments. The restructuring aims to improve services for veterans statewide, including operations at homes in Menlo Park, Paramus, and Vineland, plus expanded support through 21 county-based service offices.
   

• No. 14 Seton Hall Prep rolls past Paramus Catholic (nj.com subscription) — Paramus basketball fans saw a tough night as Paramus Catholic fell 75-41 to No. 14-ranked Seton Hall Prep in West Orange. Infinite Sincere-Amen Ra led all scorers with 19 points and five steals, including a big second quarter surge. Vincent Gentile paced Paramus Catholic with 12 points in the loss, which dropped the team to 1-5.
