Winter Weather Brings Snow, Sleet to Paramus

Expected snow accumulation amounts to about a half-inch according to weather experts.

A mix of snow and sleet is expected to continue throughout Monday causing icy conditions in Paramus and surrounding area, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter weather advisory remains in effect for North Jersey until 6 p.m. Monday. Freezing rain is expected Monday afternoon. Temperatures expected to remain in the low 30s.

Temperatures are expected to rise over the next few days but chance of rain showers are expected.

The forecast is as follows: 

  • Monday afternoon - Snow and sleet before 2pm, then rain and sleet between 2pm and 4pm, then rain after 4pm. High near 35. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Monday night - Rain likely, mainly before 7pm, then a slight chance of drizzle. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday - A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Tuesday Night - A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 38. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Wednesday - Showers likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 58. South wind 5 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday - Night Showers, mainly before midnight. Low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
