Woman Crashes Through 2 Storefronts On Route 17: Police
A woman crashed her Mercedes through 2 store windows in a Route 17 strip mall on Monday, police said.
PARAMUS, NJ — A woman accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and crashed into two storefronts in Paramus on Monday afternoon, police said.
The Paramus police said that just before 1 p.m., police responded to 556 Route 17 North on a report of a crash.
They said they found that a Mercedes had driven into two storefronts — F45 Training and the UPS Store. The stores are next to each other in a strip mall.

The driver, a 64-year-old woman from Ho-Ho-Kus, "mistakenly pressed the accelerator on her Mercedes SUV instead of the brake, causing her vehicle to crash through the front windows," police noted.
She was alert and conscious but reported feeling dizzy, police said.

No serious injuries were reported, police said.
The Paramus Building Department responded to assess the structural damage.
Both businesses were temporarily closed due to damage to the front glass windows and frames, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
