7 Morris County Men Named Among N.J.’s Richest In 2016
Top-50 wealthiest in the Garden State listed; five in Morris repeat from 2015.

Morris County is home to dozens of Fortune 500 companies and plenty of entrepreneurs. It’s also home to some of New Jersey’s richest residents.
Business publication njbiz.com released its annual ranking of the 50 wealthiest New Jerseyans Monday, with seven calling Morris County home.
According to the data compilation, the outlet went through public documents like Securities & Exchange Commission filings as well as other news reports.

According to the report, Morris County residents include:
- No. 50, Finn Wentworth: $260 Million Net Worth from real estate; resides in Mendham
- No. 34, Ray Chambers: $508 Million Net Worth from leveraged buyouts; resides in Morristown
- No. 31, Jerry Gottesman: $650 Million Net Worth from real estate; resides in Morristown
- No. 27, Walter Ricciardi: $$787 Million Net Worth from retail; resides in Morristown
- No. 25, Kevin Eng: $934 Million Net Worth from hedge funds; resides in Mendham
- No. 16, Basil Maher: $1.4 Billion Net Worth from shipping (shared with brother Brian); resides in Chatham
- No. 6, S. Dillard Kirby: $2.08 Billion Net Worth from inherited and investing (shared with brother Jefferson); resides in Mendham

The 2016 list was one less than 2015, when eight residents made the top-50. Wentworth, Chambers, Eng, Maher, and Kirby all made both lists.
