Burglary, Theft Charges For 2 In NJ Little League Burglaries

Two people face 11 charges each in connection to over 40 Little League concession stand burglaries across the state, officials said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A pair arrested in connection to a string of Little League concession stand burglaries face eleven charges of burglary and one charge of theft, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

Michael Kaloudis, 31, from Stanhope, and Angela Lopez, 34, from Middlesex, were arrested in Wayne during a traffic stop on Monday. Their arrest comes after 40 Little Leauges were burglarized across North Jersey, starting in April, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

The string of thefts followed a similar pattern: the pair would force in doors or windows overnight and steal cash, food and drinks, and appliances and tools, Musella said.

Kaloudis and Lopez are suspects in over 40 similar thefts, but Musella did not specifically say which towns they are suspects in. The two were taken to the Bergen County Jail with an upcoming detention hearing.

They pair might still be charged in other counties; a spokesperson for the Morris County Sheriff's Office said each of the seven counties the pair are accused of targeting could make their own charges, or the counties could choose to consolidate the charges into one county.
