PARSIPPANY, NJ — It won't be long before Parsippany residents can chow down on Chick-fil-A without leaving the township, judging by the new location's posts on social media.

The popular chicken chain said it is "opening soon" in a March 4 post, and shared progress photos of how their new location on Route 46 looks — complete with tables and umbrellas outside, and signs both out front and on the building. This location will also have a drive-thru.

"Get ready for a feast of flavor, friendly service, and a side of smiles," reads a post from the franchise, which is popular for its chicken sandwiches, nuggets, tenders, salads, waffle fries and milkshakes.

The fast food company received approval to begin construction in Parsippany from the township’s Zoning Board of Adjustment in August 2022, and needed to demolish four old commercial buildings on the site. Construction work began on the new restaurant last March.

Despite the restaurant's popularity, as evidenced by the busy grand opening of the Morris Plains location in 2019, several residents spoke out during the public hearing against the plan's approval.

One of the main issues residents had with the application was their fear of increased traffic in the area and long lines at the drive-thru.
