NJ College Student Found Dead At PA Fraternity House

University officials said that Christian Samay was found dead at his fraternity house over the weekend.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ — A Morris County native was found dead on a Pennsylvania college campus over the weekend, officials said.

Christian Samay, a Mountain Lakes native, was set to graduate from Bucknell University this year. University officials said he was found dead on Saturday at the Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) fraternity house, according to a report from PennLive.

University President John C. Bravman said that Samay's death did not appear suspicious in nature. His cause of death has not yet been released.

"This is an unspeakable loss for the Bucknell community, and our hearts go out Christian’s family and friends," Bravman said, while noting that Samay's death was unrelated to an active shooter alert and campus lockdown on March 29.

A LinkedIn profile for Samay notes that he was a native of Mountain Lakes, and was majoring in political science. He also had several investment banking internships listed in his experience history, and was treasurer for his fraternity.
