I-287 Northbound Lanes Reopened Monday After Emergency Repair
A sinkhole on I-287 was temporarily repaired in time for the Monday morning commute, but permanent repairs are yet to be scheduled.

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Two left lanes on I-287 northbound were reopened before rush hour Monday morning, but the left shoulder will remain closed until permanent repairs are complete.
The two left lanes near milepost 42.2 in Parsippany-Troy Hills are open again after being closed Friday for emergency drainage repairs. A sinkhole opened in the left shoulder after a drainage pipe collapsed.
These repairs are temporary, however.

Approximately 80 feet of concrete drainage pipe was installed to properly restore the system before the roadway was repaved on Sunday, clearing the way for Monday morning commuters.
Construction barriers are set up along the left shoulder to keep the area closed until permanent repairs can be completed.
