More Catalytic Converter Thefts Noted In Latest Parsippany PD Blotter
Police have also made several shoplifting arrests in recent weeks, and are investigating an equipment theft from a garage.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Police are investigating a shoplifting and several thefts from vehicles in Parsippany in recent weeks, as well as several stolen catalytic converters.
And in a home burglary, one resident had a number of pieces of equipment stolen from their garage.
Police shared a list of some notable calls for service between Feb. 14 and Feb. 26, including:

Feb. 14: Officers responded to Home Sense at Waterview Boulevard for a shoplifting, where employees said two women were seen leaving the store with stolen merchandise. The stolen floral and decorative items were worth about $1,332.74. The women fled in an unknown direction.
Feb. 17: Police responded to Ulta Beauty on Waterview Boulevard for a shoplifting in progress, and the store manager told police the female suspect was leaving the parking lot in a gray sedan. Police identified the 42-year-old driver as the shoplifting suspect, and put her under arrest for stealing 19 items from the store worth $878.40. The woman had an active traffic warrant out of Newark, and was also charged with shoplifting.

Feb. 22: A homeowner on Knoll Road reported that someone had stolen numerous pieces of maintenance equipment and a generator from his detached garage, sometime between Feb. 10 and Feb. 22. The stolen Stihl-branded items include a leaf blower, weed-eater, chain saw and tree-trim saw. The unknown suspects also stole a Honda EU2000i generator.
Feb. 23: Three homeowners reported that catalytic converters had been stolen from their vehicles recently on this date. One was on Bridgeton Drive, one on Delanco Drive, and one on Flemington Drive.
Feb. 26: An officer observed graffiti on the front windows of the former Cinepolis Theater while on patrol, shortly before 9 p.m.
