MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Relay for Life teams are preparing for this year's event to help join the fight against cancer, celebrate survivors, and honor loved ones who have passed.

All community members are welcome to come walk around the track during Relay for Life — which will also feature food trucks, contests, games, and more with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life kicks off on May 18 at Parsippany Hills High School this year and runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. It has a beach theme this year, as teams will "Re'Lei For a Cure." Beginning at 3 p.m., teams will set up spaces to fundraise and hang out around the track.

The walk begins by honoring any local cancer survivors, and all event attendees are encouraged to line the track and cheer on the survivors during the survivor's lap.

Activities will include a frozen t-shirt contest, water balloon toss," jail-n-bail," lap bead collection, themed laps, hula hoop contest, face painting, food trucks, Zumba, spikeball, and kickball tournaments.
