New 10,000-Square-Foot Food Pantry Opening in Rockaway
The CARE Center of NJ is hosting a ribbon cutting for the Food for HOPE pantry opening on Thursday.
ROCKAWAY, NJ — The CARE Center of New Jersey (CCNJ) is opening a 10,000-square-foot Food for HOPE pantry on Thursday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Christ Church Rockaway Campus.
David Ireland, founder of CCNJ, New Jersey Senator Britnee Timberlake, and Elizabeth McCarthy, President and CEO of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, are scheduled to be in attendance.
CCNJ, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is a subsidiary of Christ Church, is also launching its new fleet of trucks that will deliver food to communities throughout New Jersey. This truck fleet will enable the Food for HOPE program to expand its food distribution efforts to all 50 food deserts in New Jersey, as designated by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

The Christ Church Rockaway Campus is located at 140 Green Pond Road, Rockaway. Food For Hope pantry will have operating hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
