Par Baseball Beats Caldwell, Moves on in State Tourney

Team will face Garfield in second round of NJSIAA games.

The Parsippany High School boys baseball team is moving on to the second round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 tournament after defeating Caldwell on Monday 5-3, according to the Star-Ledger.

Parsippany, seeded 14, will now move on to face Garfield, seeded 6, on Friday in the second round of the tournament.

Parsippany was able to gain a five-point lead after David Samuel gained two RBIs and a run and Nick Leitner had an additional RBI, according to the Ledger. The game was played in West Caldwell.
