Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry Needs Donations

The Parsippany Community Center is accepting donations of food and gift cards

PARSIPPANY, NJ—The Emergency Food Pantry at the Parsippany Community Center is seeking donations of non-perishable, canned, and dry goods, along with gift cards and hygiene products.

Donations are accepted on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the community center at 1130 Knoll Rd. Lake Hiawatha. The pantry especially needs the following items:

  • Sardines
  • Tuna/Salmon
  • Chicken
  • Turkey

Dry Goods/Miscellaneous:

  • Beans
  • Cereal
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Condiments
  • Powdered milk
  • Jelly
  • Peanut butter
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Laundry detergent
  • Toilet Paper

Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2020, more than 54 million Americans will not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
