Parsippany Hills High Brings Home The Gold In Academic Decathlon
The school snagged more than 65 individual awards and honors at the Region III competition.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Hills High School Academic Decathlon Team took home the gold this Saturday at the New Jersey Region III Competition at Raritan Valley Community College.
The "AcDec" team is made up of eight members and seven alternates. Between them all, Parsippany Hills High School brought home more than 65 individual awards and honors at the competition, the school said in a press release.
The Academic Decathlon is a 10-event contest for high school students competing across topics including math, science, social science, literature, economics, art, music, speech, essay and interview, the school said.

The team is advised by Jaclyn Bevacqua, Italian teacher, and Jacqueline Forte, Spanish teacher.
This year's team consists of the following students: Cavin Anbuselvam, Hyun-Jung Kim, Amy Liu, Brandon Ng, Aarnav Patel, Dhruv Patel, Delia Ryerson, and Shoumik Vaddi. Alternate team members who participated were: Schenia Alvarez, Dylan Chiu, Akul Murundi, Mann Pandya, Sebastian Stone, Adomas Vaitkus, and Victor Wang.
