Parsippany Man Charged In Phony Bomb Threat At Hotel

Police make arrest five weeks after incident at Holiday Inn on Route 46.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – More than a month after a phony bomb threat was called into a Parsippany hotel, a man has been charged with creating a false public alarm.

Police received a report of a bomb inside the Holiday Inn on Route 46 at 3:40 a.m. on Feb. 11. After a check of the area with K9 units and officers, no bombs or suspicious items were found, police said.

An investigation into who the caller was turned into charges by Parsippany police, who arrested George Castellon, 26, of Parsippany, on March 22, police said.

Castellon was charged with creating a false public alarm and given a court date.
