Parsippany Man Killed Crossing South Jersey Road: Police

The 72-year-old man was struck by two cars while crossing a road in South Jersey, police said.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany man was struck and killed by two cars when he attempted to cross a major road in South Jersey, police said.

Kenneth W. McNeil, 72, from the Lake Hiawatha section of town, was killed the evening of July 11 in Monroe, Gloucester County. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Monroe police said.

According to police, McNeil was crossing the road at the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Corkery Lane when he was struck by a car traveling east. The force of that collision sent him into the westbound lanes, where he was struck again.

A doctor pronounced McNeil dead at the scene at 9:10 p.m., police said.

Both drives remained on the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
