Parsippany Named Best Place In NJ To Live By Money Magazine

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parsippany is the best place to live in New Jersey, and one of the best to live in the entire country, according to a new ranking published by Money Magazine.

The town ranks #26 in the 2018 listing of Best Places to Live. It's the highest ranking New Jersey town and one of just two Garden State towns to make the list (the other is Union, at #43.)

A few things make Parsippany stand out: the average commuter travels just 25 minutes, the median family income is $110,709, and its sunny 205 days a year.

With good schools — among the highest scoring of any New Jersey locale we evaluated — and low crime, the township is a good place for families. And, while Parsippany is close to bigger cities like Manhattan and Newark, you wouldn’t know it from its green space: Home to more than 30 parks, Parsippany is an Arbor Day Foundation-designated Tree City USA — and has been for 42 years, one of the longest in the state.
