Police Hold Walkout Ceremony For Longtime Parsippany Officer
This week, Patrolman Gian Franco Cacioppo walked out of headquarters for the last time, marking the end of more than 16 years of service.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Police Department honored one of its longtime officers with a walkout ceremony as he left police headquarters for the final time.
This week, Patrolman Gian Franco Cacioppo walked out of police headquarters for the final time in his 16-year career with the Parsippany Police Department.
Before joining Parsippany, Cacioppo also served for nine years with the Union County Sheriff's Department, officials said.

Throughout his career with the Parsippany Police Department, Cacioppo has earned three Life Saving Awards and three Unit Commendations in recognition of his dedication and service. In addition to these honors, he has taken on a variety of specialized roles, including serving as a firearms instructor, crash investigator, rifle operator, and a distinguished member of the department's Honor Guard.
"Congratulations, Ptl. Cacioppo and we wish you the best of luck," the police department stated in their farewell post on social media.
