Record-Setting Year Of Responses For Parsippany Rescue + Recovery Unit
Calls for service included everything from water rescues and car crashes, to elevator emergencies and lift assists.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The volunteers of the Parsippany Rescue and Recovery Unit responded to a record-setting number calls for service in 2023, the agency announced earlier this week.
The 433 dispatches included search and rescue efforts, elevator emergencies, helping trapped drivers after crashes, emergency power generation, board ups, and more.
Along with helping township residents and those in neighboring communities, Rescue and Recovery Unit members also participated in "thousands of hours of preparation, meetings, and training to make sure we continue to provide an elevated level of service to our community."
