Rep. Mikie Sherrill Calls For Valentines For Veterans

Handmade Valentine's Day Cards can be mailed or delivered to Rep. Sherill's Parsippany office.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Morris County-based Congresswoman Mikie Sherill this week announced her upcoming "Valentines for Veterans" program, asking residents to submit handmade Valentine's Day cards at her Parsippany district office.

The cards will be distributed to military veterans living in the 11th Congressional District, according to a press release.

"In the Navy, I landed on ships throughout the fleet to drop off mail. When you are deployed at sea, I know first-hand how meaningful it is to receive cards from friends and family back home," she said in a statement. "This Valentine’s Day, I’d like to invite everyone to write to our local heroes who have returned from their service. I know that these cards will brighten a veteran’s day."
